Rob loves programming languages and Ruby is the first language he
found that loved him back. While finishing his CS degree, Rob snuck
Ruby into the software validation and tools group of a Johnson and
Johnson company. He learned Rails while riding back and forth on a
train between his home in San Diego, CA and work in Irvine, CA. He
joined Mingle LLC. in early 2006 and has been working professionally
with Rails ever since. In the fall of 2007, he struck out on his own,
founded Notch8 and knows that freelancing really suites him. He
enjoyed the heck out of speaking at RailsConf07, even though he lost
his voice the day of his talk. Recently he's been busy helping
clients with projects varying from mobile location services to a
biotech online marketplace. He is regularly found at SDRuby meetings
and anywhere else he can talk tech and programming.
